The Process of Creating ENGAGING YOUTUBE ADS
Since 2019, Surfers Against Sewage have held their annual Plastic Free Awards to celebrate those fighting the growing plastic tide.

THE STORY
We wanted this story to be one that everyone could relate to, thus providing more of an emotional impact on the audience. By going down memory lane and including relatable shots that everyone can look back to (think meeting a car down a narrow lane), we showed the importance of family, fun, and sharing joyful moments.

Finding the talent
To make this story work we had to find the right actors to really get across that sense of joy. After a comprehensive search we were so lucky to find our wonderful cast who added so much to the final film with their natural chemistry and fabulous attitude.

Location location location
We knew for this campaign to work we had to nail the look and feel of Cornwall so we spent hours debating on shooting locations. Luckily, when it came to shooting we were blessed with glorious sunshine which made creating that holiday feel that little bit easier.

Post production
From the initial ideation,we always wanted to include some aspect of the Cornish Company’s illustrated assets into the final film and it was decided that by including various animated elements throughout the edit it would really hammer home the playful tone of a family holiday and reinforce the iconic branding.
