OUR WORK

In-event storytelling to get conversations going with Blue Earth

Our journey delivering on the day assets for the Blue Earth Forum as part of London Climate Action Week

The Brief

Blue Earth Forum was a flagship event of London Climate Action Week, it brought together investors and purpose-led startups in a space where you could pitch ideas, have 1:1 meetings with investors and learn about new and exciting solutions.

Blue Earth wanted a super fast turnaround for their content so they could be updating socials on what was happening and create a real buzz around the event.

The content had to be slick, beautiful and edited to perfection with social at its heart. Each of the 6 videos had been planned with their own creative approach. The purpose? To make businesses and investors aware of the event and encourage them to look into Blue Earth’s flagship event, Blue Earth Summit.

The process of making on-the-day content

Working across two days with on site filmmakers, producers and editors, we are proud to make agile, social-first content with impact.

In-event storytelling to get conversations going with Blue Earth

1

What did the brand want to achieve

Our client had two main audiences they were aiming to hit with this content; investors and the business start-up community. This meant the content had to be designed predominantly for Instagram and LinkedIn.   We know that for LinkedIn their preference is posting in landscape and for Instagram they wanted vertical. By shooting in 16:9 with a 9:16 safe zone, we maximised content versatility while preserving visual quality. Blue Earth provided brand assets, allowing us to integrate their identity into our creative vision seamlessly.

2

What innovative approach did we take with this?

To make sure we smashed the brief, before the event we designed approaches for each of the 6 videos, we shared this with the client and that helped us to form a shot list.   We worked this list against the schedule and the other content we wanted to catch and made ourselves an indicative shot list that would form the basis of our shoot.   Blue Earth wanted to encourage people to sign up to the Summit, this is a much larger event with a significantly bigger capacity. We wanted to do what we could to make this forum event feel huge, to do this we maximised the locations we had available to us.   We set up a media room where we chatted to speakers, did interviews on the go and shot the pitching area, in the edit this gave the event scale.

Behind The Scenes

Some images from across the two days in Shoreditch

From the very beginning, it was clear that working with the Bull & Wolf team — Libby, Joe, Joe, and Felix— would be a game-changer for our event. Their contribution was nothing short of instrumental in bringing the Blue Earth Forum to life, and I can confidently say that their talent, organisation, and passion are unmatched in the video production industry.
